Gratitude, it's good for your health!

It is November, so this just seemed appropriate. They say that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, well perhaps gratitude and positivity can keep you healthier.  I often speak of the  3T's and how they impact your health...Thoughts,Traumas and Toxins.

Is the glass half full or half empty? You choose your perception. Your perceptions shape your reality.  Good thing is that unlike the gratitude picture, your negative perceptions aren't set in stone.  You are free to choose gratitude  at any point.

Not only is a positive person more enjoyable to be around, being positive and grateful for all that you have is beneficial for your own health.  Negative emotions cause physiological changes in the body.
Cortisol and adrenaline are released with negative emotions. These two hormones over a prolonged period of time cause inflammation. Chronic inflammation has been linked to subluxations, muscle and joint issues,  cardiac events, autoimmune issues, cancers and overall poor health.

This is not to say that you should never feel sad or angry, but you are ultimately in control of your emotions. There does tend to be silver linings to most clouds. Often they appear after the storm, so it is about keeping the hope and faith during those rough times.

So, take a deep breath, look around and see all that you have to be grateful for.  It truly is for your health.
